RIO Estudio is an interior and furniture design firm that explores the construction of memory and the unfinished.
In a river, gravity is diluted and time passes differently. When an object sinks, it loses its function and falls into the realm of plasticity. RIO explores spatiality from this aquatic and nostalgic standpoint, more interested in the formal and poetic implications than in functionality.
RIO Estudio is based on intuition, it is undetermined and fluid. It hovers on opposites like tradition and transgression, past and future, the common and the rare.
