Hidden away on a small shopping street in the Lomas neighborhood of Mexico City is ISSI, a restaurant designed to feel as cozy as your grandfather's house.
The interior design of RIO Estudio reflects that intimacy, where everything, from the layout to the lighting, was designed to accommodate a nostalgically domestic atmosphere. Materials such as concrete, wood paneling, volcanic rock, stainless steel and resin coexist in a very organic seating arrangement. The butter yellow upholstered chair combined with a De Stijl-inspired geometric structure is an example of this balancing act.
